Capture & Ask
Choose a screen area. Copyless saves the screenshot locally, attaches it, and opens the conversation overlay.
Copyless is built for the moment something on your Mac needs AI help. Capture a screenshot, ask a text-only question, paste files, run a quick action, or switch models without leaving your current work.

Open or hide the overlay for text questions, follow-ups, or adding files before you capture anything.

hello
Hi! How can I help?
I can also review the screenshot you attached and give feedback on the UI/flow if you want.
Copyless has one flow for screenshot questions and one flow for direct questions. Both keep the conversation ready for follow-ups and attachments.
/ for quick actionsType / at the start of the composer to open common actions. The picker filters as you type, supports arrow keys and Return, and turns the selected action into a compact chip above the input.
Translate Chinese to English, or other languages to Simplified Chinese.
Condense visible content, pasted files, or typed text into the main points.
Rewrite complicated content in simpler terms while keeping the important details.
Pull readable text from screenshots or attachments without inventing missing content.
Improve clarity and wording while preserving facts, names, numbers, and tone.
Extract tasks, owners, dates, blockers, and next steps when they are present.
Use Settings for defaults you want Copyless to remember across new conversations.
Settings controls the default model for new sessions. The model button in the composer changes only the current conversation.
Short answers to the questions that usually come up after the first few screenshots.
Use GPT-5.4 Mini for fast everyday questions, summaries, translations, and lightweight screenshot help. Switch the current session to GPT-5.5 when the question is complex, the attachment context is dense, or answer quality matters more than speed and token efficiency.
Yes. Use the model button in the composer. The change applies to the current session only, does not rewrite your global default, and cannot be changed while Copyless is already streaming a response.
You can paste or drag supported images, PDFs, Word or RTF documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and common text or code files. Pasted and dragged files are copied into Copyless app storage so later turns do not break if the original file moves.
/ do?Typing / at the start of the composer opens Quick Actions such as Translate, Summarize, Explain, Extract Text, Rewrite, and Action Items. With attachments present, the action applies to those attachments by default; typed text becomes extra instruction.
No remote Files API object is created for pasted attachments. When you send a request, Copyless sends the needed screenshot or file content through the Copyless backend as base64 request content for that conversation turn.
Install Copyless, keep the default shortcuts, and change them later if another macOS shortcut already owns the same keys.
